You can be prescribed methamphetamine for ADHD, though most ADHD drugs are amphetamines. 😉 The guy was smoking it, though...so likely not a prescription. 🤣 Though I suspect the charge is related to the fact you can legally have methamphetamine in your system at certain levels if it's prescribed to you.

I'm pretty sure that ADHD meds are only amphetamines. I don't think there's any methamphetamines via prescription. Granted it's been five years since I've been in the medical field so my memory could be a little fuzzy but I'm quite sure we dealt with a similar situation with a teen boy

There is one that is methamphetamine, but most are amphetamines. I suspect that amphetamine based drugs are much more common/preferred. 🙂

Desoxyn. I worked in Pediatrics so we didn't deal with this LOL where is about 16000 prescriptions still filled every year but when you divide that up by 12 months, that's about 1,300 people on it. Not a lot but still that's crazy!
