I was delivering a Captain D's order to a house last night and knocked on the door. While I waited for the customer to come to the door, I hear a couple inside loudly arguing about who was going to answer the door. Then they starting hurling f bombs and other profanities at each other and then it sounded like stuff was being thrown inside the house.

I calmly sat the food on the doormat, messaged the customer that I had dropped the food off at the door, and got the hell out of there.

First time having that kind of experience. I wasn't about to wait around to see which one of the pissed of people was going to answer the door.

At least I was rewarded on the very next delivery with a nice, free Mexican dinner when the customer put the wrong address in and then didn't answer the phone when I called to get the right address.

Pro tip. If they put in the incorrect address, unless a block max away, then don’t worry about delivering it.

When you call and they say wrong address, ask them to text you the address then check to see how far it is.
For me, my max is anything over 4-5 minutes away
, free food. Also free food if they’re nasty over the phone.

They need to learn.

After you called, did you press the no answer button to start the countdown clock?
