Week days will never be as busy as the weekends. That is a fact.

I do get your point drivers will always follow the money. Everyone knows that. So what?

What I am saying is that there will always be someone in the suburbs to do the suburban jobs. We all live in different areas. We all clock on at different times. Some of us take people from the inner suburban areas to the outer suburban areas and then stay online for the next fare hoping that it will take them back in (like it did me). Who cares if someone else clocks off and heads back to the inner city to cherry pick?

The system works. Have a look at the passenger app and there will always be drivers in the suburbs.
I don't agree system not working perfectly other day pick up lady which was upset she waited for uber almost hour because at 11.00 tuesday wasn't any drivers in eltham only reason i pick her up because i got the job only 2 min from my drop off and was local job then used on my way future to city want seat in car for one small job per hour

I'm somehow set to think that the filter only gives you 1 job each time regardless of how far you are from the destination still...
I've had more then one job on the filter, mostly short jobs on the way home. Many here have reported more than one job in the other thread on this topic.

Anyhow, my best night using this was Election night. Turned it on for Ringwood while in the city, and got a ping straight away which was city to (let me go check google maps) ivanhoe east area I'm guessing. Dropped them off, ok halfway home. Better than nothing I thought. Then another ping while heading back to freeway and was from balwyn north, other side of freeway to me, so instead of getting on freeway, crossed over and picked them up. They had been heading to Mitcham!

OMG best destination filter trip home ever... paid fares just about all the way home!

The problem with it, is its just like a normal job, you have to still be the closest Uber driver to the pax, and THEN that fare has to be going 'your' way based on the destination rules you entered.

So the chances are slim in getting long jobs on it, I find its normally little jobs of a few blocks etc. As it has to meet the above rules.

But its better than going offline and deadheading it all the way home. Even if I only pickup a few little jobs here and there, its better than nothing.

You lucky guy! Or maybe because I use the filter when it's past incentive hours and time to head home... But sometimes when I've got to be somewhere and using it during dinner I only get one and that's it. :(

I had three trips once.

I think lot has to where/how Uber thinks you get home. For me heading to Ringwood, it assumes the freeway Home from the city or west side, so often only get something to around the end of the freeway. Which is ok, as I then jump on the freeway and head home.

Best filter job I've had was a doozy. Getting late, accept a job in the CBD and they want to go to Seaford. Off we go and I'm thinking great fair but by the time we arrive its about 3am and a loooooong way back to Essendon. Set filter for home, start back toward civilization and get a ping 2 minutes later - Brunswick. VERY F##KIN NICE. Thanks
