$4.80 more than you would have if you logged out and went home.... If you think about it, its a pretty good payment for the work done. 1 min travel time, and short distance. So what, nearly $1/min? :)

Now if I could repeat that all the way home from the city to Ringwood.... I would be MEGA RICH!

Well the idea is ON THE WAY, not TO that place... Something is better than nothing on the way home and certainly better than going offline driving empty or getting a job heading in the WRONG direction :/

No email here, but popped up in the partner app as a message. Its a good feature and win/win for both Uber and drivers. This way Uber can keep MORE drivers online longer.

I for one am happy with the feature.

Its limited to stop cherry picking jobs Bob........

Twice a day, allows you to either set one to work and one home, or set two times a day to go home or anywhere basically etc.

Which is what its designed for. When you want to 'finish up' and 'head' home.

Otherwise people will use it to get long jobs ie sit in the city on a surge with the airport set as a destination etc to cherry pick a long high surge job and rise and repeat.

Understood why is limited will not stop us example on busy day with lot surges in cbd if u end up in outer suburbs most of drivers will go offline and move in high density job & suge paid area
Again, to stop cherry picking jobs all day long. In your example, you want to 'cherry pick' the high paying city surge jobs, vs the non surge outer suburbs jobs.

Doesn't solve the issue of following the money, this is true. BUT does help slow it down and drivers might stay online in the burbs rather than go offline etc.

I would think maybe 4 destinations a day would be nicer, but at the end of the day. Something is better than nothing.

The amount of times I use to go offline as I was ready to head home and having to deadhead a LONG way back without a fare. Now days I have a small chance of getting something, which is better than nothing.

I would love to see a ping ETA filter, don't show me jobs over 10 mins unless its a surge job! Now that would make me a happy man.

Only way you can keep drivers longer in out suburbs if you have no surge fare price
If its not surging like crazy, then being out in the burbs isn't bad. Some people seem to hate it, but the jobs are normally longer, so while less jobs, they normally pay more so it all averages out in the end for me.

City jobs are normally short little things for me, ok when its surging but otherwise meh.

I'm somehow set to think that the filter only gives you 1 job each time regardless of how far you are from the destination still...
I've had more then one job on the filter, mostly short jobs on the way home. Many here have reported more than one job in the other thread on this topic.

Anyhow, my best night using this was Election night. Turned it on for Ringwood while in the city, and got a ping straight away which was city to (let me go check google maps) ivanhoe east area I'm guessing. Dropped them off, ok halfway home. Better than nothing I thought. Then another ping while heading back to freeway and was from balwyn north, other side of freeway to me, so instead of getting on freeway, crossed over and picked them up. They had been heading to Mitcham!

OMG best destination filter trip home ever... paid fares just about all the way home!

The problem with it, is its just like a normal job, you have to still be the closest Uber driver to the pax, and THEN that fare has to be going 'your' way based on the destination rules you entered.

So the chances are slim in getting long jobs on it, I find its normally little jobs of a few blocks etc. As it has to meet the above rules.

But its better than going offline and deadheading it all the way home. Even if I only pickup a few little jobs here and there, its better than nothing.

I think lot has to where/how Uber thinks you get home. For me heading to Ringwood, it assumes the freeway Home from the city or west side, so often only get something to around the end of the freeway. Which is ok, as I then jump on the freeway and head home.
