Interesting that the plaintiffs are alleging the Uber driver was distracted at the time by use of phone. I wonder if they have witness(es).
This also makes me think it is just a matter of time before a similar, belated lawsuit is filed by the family of the Uber Pax who was let out of car on Carson stretch of 405 and subsequently killed.
Disclaimer: I drive Lyft in Detroit - haven't signed up for Uber yet... that said, I'd have to imagine stacked pings cause Uber Drivers more distraction than anything else while trying to navigate to a dropoff point... I wonder how many accidents are caused by them...
