Your new, I'm going to help you out. The driver App shows surge zones for upto ten minutes after surge has passed. You can be in a surge zone and get pinged to an area close by that is not surging. If you drive into a surge zone or head towards a surge zone with your driver app on, guess what? You cause the surge to fade or go away since their is an available car in the area or headed that way close by. Want more surges? Don't drive with your driver app on waiting for surge to happen, it won't as there is an available car. Better sit in likely surge area with app off, watch map log on when surge builds. Don't log on as soon as surge pops up, let it build near 2x's before logging on.
