Got this from Uber this morning: -

We were notified by a rider that you accepted a cash payment on a recent trip.
As outlined in our Community Guidelines, we don't take action on the status of your account unless the issues raised are serious or repeat offences.
If you believe that this didn't occur, please let us know within 72 hours and we'll be happy to review.
We will keep an eye out for your reply.

I do not do cashies (unlike some other drivers) as I prefer to have everything accounted for to be covered in case things should go south. This allegations was sent by email about an hour after I had a car load of teenage girls whereby one in particular had a serve case of "feral". If not her I can't imagine which other rider I have had recently who would do this.

WTF is wrong with some people?

Sadly these days these companies more than not side with the customer...

Ebay is a classic example of this, you sell a product and if they complain then Ebay refund their $$$, well your $$$...
+ you can't even leave a negative rating for an Ebay buyer. what a load of shite.... Someone rips you off or is a serial complainer and you can only rate them positively or neutral :confusion:

Uber is like that almost, they tend to side with the person spending the $$$ over the person supplying the service.. Piss poor

I picked up a guy, a uber driver, as a passenger, soon as he got in he started mouthing of about the greatness of ubet, how he did only uber, how they looked after him, generally just made me sick all the garbage he sprouted about uber. Then started on me asking my acceptance rates and all the rest of it. I stopped him told him it was none of his business, uber are assholes blah blah blah. Then he started on my car said he could hear a front wheel bearing noise. I just let him rave on. What I didn’t tell him was the bearings had just been replaced.
Dropped him off Went home.
Next day an email from uber saying a rider complained about a noise in the front wheels of my car and that the car had been offroaded untill it is repaired and that i need photos of the broken parts and the new parts with the repair invoice.
I told uber it was a lie and to go **** them selves.
A false complaint made , driver is the last to know.
A few days later uber emailed me again and eaid after further consideration they would settle for a photo of the last service out of the service book.
Told them again to go **** themselves.
A week later magically my car was back activated by uber.
False complaints are a fact of life made by asshole passengers to asshole uber.
Damned if i know why all drivers except the few that love uber just don’t switch them off and leave them off.
And to you uber driver come passenger i know where you live, in nerang, i know your white 4x4 with the uber stickers on it.
Be carefull with your false allegations and lies they will come back to bite you in the ass.

Maybe just a sliw leak with the little gizmo,
Paul Keating once famously said
"I will do them slowly " or words to that effect :smiles:

In my 3 yrs I have had 3 people offer me cashies. I have rejected each of them. 3 were drug dealers that didn't want any traceable link to their business activities.
That could go so badly if you did accept cash from druggies... imagine if the cops pulled you over and you tried to convince them you are just driving him as an Uber pax but the ride was canceled and you're still driving him around
The cops have your car with drugs in it and an apparent "Uber pax" but the app doesn't show an Uber ride .... oops
