I said 'not so good lucky to make $100 a day' ...he then looked visibly shocked and told me the previous uber driver he had just spoken too told him he made $1500 just on Monday
Got me thinking is uber paying these guys to spread around misinformation to get drivers out there or is Mulder holding out on us?:nailbiting:

I would imagine within a week or two the entire rideshare deal will be put on hiatus; we are a conduit of the virus, its simply too risky having such a confined space be shared with randoms day in, day out. The risk to the public is far, far greater than on regular public transport. Are you disinfecting the door handles both inside and out after every passenger? Public transport is also a larger space, so whilst there are many more people, there is also a huge amount more airspace. Go ask any fellow ex taxi drivers here or anywhere else how often they got sick during winters; it was very difficult to avoid (and I never really got sick outside of that part of my life)

Personally I think the whole thing is the most crazy overreaction in my lifetime, but what I've said above is taking into account everything else that's going on right now. I wish everyone was living their life as they did through the swine flu, but its not how its going to be this time.

Blind Freddy can see that movements of people around the community are slowing. Traffic is down significantly, businesses are shutting, restaurants and bars will be ordered closed in the next 5 days, schools will follow.
Anyone who is dreaming about "maintaining income" in the coming weeks is fracking stupid....but then again..there really are some totally stupid people in this game.
And then you have the totally dishonest who brag about "maintaining income" and "SMS campaigns" (which requires strict adherence to privacy act regulations or it's $10,000 fine per instance coming from a business..which you are) to "attract new business" at this time.

Please wake up people, there will be no work soon.....doesn't matter how much you spam your database....they're not travelling, and any company that is still travelling is about to stop.

Only a fool would advertise a disinfected car at this time.
