In my visit to the shittter, saw the infamous F-150 4X4 king cab pick up truck back. This guy is as persistent as a car salesman trying to complete his sales quota before the end of quarterly period. 3 Questions came to mind:

1) How do you make money from a vehicle that gets 8 mpg or 15 L/100 km?

2) What pax wants to ride in a F-150? The ride is only sightly more comfortable than the ride in the infamous yellow bluebird school buses?
- I wonder how many cancellations he gets?

3) Wouldn't someone make enough money doing construction (unionized jobs) that they would NOT need to do ridesharing with a pick up truck? (Unless this is purely a tax deduction write off to write off expenses running a truck. Namely biggest expense FUEL! )

I think LONGOS grocery story bought Grocery Gateway a number of years ago.
There is also INSTACART.
Longos is like Whole Foods. You need your "whole" paycheque to shop there! LOL.

Have you used any of the above services that you quoted? Like 95% of all canadians, I have never tried online grocery shopping yet.:cool::cool::cool:

Longos prices are nowhere near WHOLE FOOD prices (I also call that store, Whole Paycheque!) I occasionally shop at Longos (but 90% of grocery/meat/house-hold-items are bought at Sobeys/Costco), as I am on Longo's Store-Improvement Panel (FreshInsights) which gives me discounts at the store via their loyalty points system (for completing surveys and focus group stuff online). This is pretty good, and amounts to real $$.

However, the main reason I shop at LONGOS is 1) it's on my way home from work, 2) That particular location always has a lot of staff working cash, meaning I can get in, pick up a few targeted items (not a full grocery run) and get out fast.

I've never used Grocery Gateway or Instacart, but....

I use an online delivery service for local produce (Mama Earth Organics), in which I have an ongoing $50/wk order, which is filled with whatever is in season from local farmers. They deliver inside a known window (eg. Thursday afternoon) for each region of the GTA, so not a 'hailing'/on-demand service like UBER. It works out very well, but it isn't 'cheap.' But it does support local farms, and the produce is super fresh, and quite tasty. It is also customizable, if you don't like CHARD or KALE, you can swap it for anything else in their system, provided you do so at least 24h prior to delivery.

Mainly I get mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, apples, squashes, onions, carrots, green beans, eggs and potatoes along with various fruits from Strawberries to grapes to blueberries when they are in season.
