Oh what...you don't get inventive...pshhh..what ever then
Yeah Basically the rental is your incentive . Plus they make you pay a small mileage fee for miles driven while not logged into Lyft .

The positive compared to say the Hertz rental is that when you're not logged into Lyft there is an insurance that covers you from GM . So basically you're always insured . Which with the Hertz rental you're screwed if you get in an accident while not driving for Lyft

Where does it say that ? Are you sure
I read about it on the rideshareguy blog about a month ago for the Chicago market and that was the deal .

"
Power Driver Bonus/Hourly Guarantees: Those who use the rental will not qualify for the Power Driver Bonus to earn their commissions back from Lyft. They also will not qualify for average hourly guarantees. Guaranteed Primetime and tips should still payout like any other ride though.

You have to call Hertz & make appt.. They said it was unlimited miles, but Rideshare guys blog says different so I'm not sure. Lyft's credit card kept declining today so several drivers weren't able to pick up cars.

I was excited to see suv's on there but they only seat 5. I'd look into getting a vehicle just to change it up a little, but they are charging 0.25 for every personal mile.

Plus they make you pay a small mileage fee for miles driven while not logged into Lyft .
I wonder if the app has to be on ALL the time? I'm always dropping off and turning the app off during rush hour. Imagine trying to turn the car off and getting pinged as your parallel parking. It would be best to leave this car in the city and commute in.

I was once at uber talking to one of the managers and was asking me why I drive for lyft lol I answered with the usual "sometimes I m sick of uber riders bs and sometimes I my left out guarantees" kind stuff then the question of who I'm loyal to came I said "unfortunately uber"

Lyft is way worse than uber , wtf is this ?! Anybody who takes this car looses an average of 500$ a week

I didn't get a rental myself, but after reading a copy of the actual contract today, I was unable to find anything saying Hertz would charge additional for personal mileage or miles driven outside of Lyft.

Also, drivers can qualify for the bonus, but the bonus will be used to offset the cost of the rental that is billed to the driver's pay statement.

As me Being from the Baltimore/Washington/Virginia region Unless you plan to do Lyft FULL time, stay far away from the express rental program!! I had to work minimum off 39hrs qouted to make the 65 rental free qouta. Did this for about 3 weeks and every week only made about 450$ after thier all thier fees. There was even a week when i was cutting it close to the 4:59am Monday cut off period.. It was on a Sunday afternoon I had 62 rides then all of a sudden I got timed out, but mind you I had taken an over 8hr break from the last time I was lyfting I sent them numerous emails back and forth. And they kept giving me the same bs response "you have reached the limit and are required to take a 6hr break) and I kept responding to them with the screenshots to prove that I only had been on the app for 6hrs..
