I was far away from the airport when I check!!! I don t work EWR only if I get a ping when I am around. Just wanted to see how the airport looks like. Sorry if my tread bothered you mr blade!!!

i saw the same thing yesterday on the pax app.

Remember, the trick to the airport is to be the closest guy. This means you need to know when the planes come in. Go on the Newark airport website and look for times when planes are coming in. The arrivals. Usually the busiest times are Thurs and Friday for comebacks, but also weekend too. When you know when the planes start coming in, try to get in the middle of the terminal.
Keep in mind that even if there are 100 Uber cars, all that matters is the one closest to the passenger.
Of course, watch for the footcops and the blue/white vehicles. Those guys will be looking for you. Have your paperwork straight, you know what I mean. When you see these guys, drive off. I usually have one eye forward and the other eye on the mirror. Im constantly looking. Blue&White equals time to go!

The Port Authority police have received their instructions which are to stop as many Ubers as possible. Problem is there are so many cars and too few of them. So you just do the best you can to avoid them. One guy here said he got 4 tickets. Went to court and the Uber attorney had two dismissed and other two reduced. He pays the court and Uber reimburses. I also know a guy who got those same four tickets and later on he applied to NY TLC to get the FHV license. He didnt have any issues. One of those four tickets is the fire extinguisher and first aid kit so I have them in the car. A small extinguisher and first aid kit bought on Amazon for cheap, they are also at Home Depot. Just need a small extinguisher and first aid kit. Mine is a prepackaged small red box which has bandaids and a bandage. Had to show to show it the Port Authority once. The PA officer was a good sport and gave me the $54 obscure plates ticket.

Waited close to 3 hours circled around and around tried everything it's so hard to get a ping at EWR the new rate is great first day I did very well but my rating dropped to 2.0 pax are furious when they discover they are paying twice as much, second day it's like the office of TLC soo many drivers I'm not sure if I'll ever get a ping again.

Pax are stupid. Before requesting a car the app will show you the price. If you don t like it then get the cab right ????

There are other options for sure, but to combat the EWR price increase they should just increase the price across the board for NJ and then there wouldn't be this sticker shock. Also agree that the fare estimate is the riders best friend, and if they don't agree to pay the fare, then go seek alternatives. I'm sure NJ Transit will get them home in 2-4 hours

Every time I check the rider app is full of cars at EWR. Before it was 8-12 cars, nw since the new price the number of cars is double. No exaggeration

If they increase rates in New Jersey across the board like that I'd surrender my Tlc and work I jersey too.There are other options for sure, but to combat the EWR price increase they should just increase the price across the board for NJ and then there wouldn't be this sticker shock.
