Everyone, when the timer hits zero on the 2 minute countdown of pool passengers, cancel their ass. Did it today. Got to location, as I am sitting there i already get the second request. I had texted the guy I was there, but I guess he thought he could take his sweet ass time, as soon as that counter hit zero, his ass got cancelled. Hopefully next time he either takes X or gets his ass down to the car.

I got a 10 minute away call for pool and while on the way a second. I get to the restaurant to pick up the first rider and nothing for a minute - then he pops out asking me to hang on, his order is almost ready. I rolled my eyes since he had about 8 minutes to have me arrive - so I told him he has about a minute, that we have a second pool to pick up.

He goes in and does not come out - the timer ran down and I gave him a count to 15, so I cancelled, no show (the app already had shown to cancel, as I sped off to get the second passenger, I saw him come out. Too bad, but the rule is the rule. Second ride was from Alhambra to N. Hollywood - I'll take it!

The real countdown is
2...1...$4

It's definitely a good way to recoup some of your money that you lose on pool

Never text them. Just wait 2 minuts , cancel no show, and collect 4 easy bucks

With Pool there are no exceptions to the rules.

I pull up and the timer starts. I do not call or text. They are supposed to be ready. At zero, I cancel No-Show. No Exceptions.

You want more flexibility at pick-up, order UberX.

All part of my plan to make UberPool the most enjoyable experience possible for the riders.

I never expect complete a uber pool ride, collect $4 better. You must hit arrive button 0.5miles before.
That's going a little too far into the dark grey for me. Uber could catch on to that real fast and reverse the $4.00. Uber then make you wait an addition 30 seconds to a minute if you hit "Arrived" when the GPS says different.

Yeah that timer is your best friend when you accept a POOL ride.

I had quite a few POOL requests this past weekend. Since I was chasing rides to make sure I qualified for the hourly guarantee, I was a POOL ride accepting fool. One thing I loved was that I could always tell when I was picking up at a gated residence and knew that I was gonna collect a cancel fee because of that. There's only been one time when I've picked up at a gated apartment complex where the pax was standing out front.

I think I had 9 rides where I collected the $4.00 cancel fee. Maybe next time these POOL fools will be boots to curb.

Or they will pick UberX. The $5.00 is probably more than what they saved using Pool.

Hilarious you can tell those who have been cancelled before. They are waiting outside and try to get in before the car even stops.
You are so so right. They are right on the curb.

The one I cancelled yesterday was a 2.7x surge in Hollywood too, but screw it, I hate pool, I hate uber for offering pool, so since they send me these stupid ass emails about acceptance rates, I am going to make the pool experience as horrible as possible for these cheap people.
