Because the updates lately have been very poor and full of glitches.Why is this a nightmare? Download over cellular.

Hi dc.. Are u dc as in Washington? If so, shout out to a fellow wash dc uber peep. I just started: each day has taken me into the city, but with all those 1-way streets the apps don't seem to recognize, not thrilled about navigating around once there. :/

Yes, I am in Washington, DC. Welcome aboard. Are you a limousine operator? I would suggest investing in a new Garmin gps.
