I feel really bad for the driver but come one, all Uber has to do is to create a Freight category and have van and cargos running around town, it could even have extra helper if needed for moving, but having a driver with luxury SUV all suited up loading crap in his car makes no sense.

These are the times you have to use your wits to cancel the trip. Had a pax request a ride, I show up 5mins later to the pick up, they are ready to leave toes to the curb I hadn't even pressed arrived yet and they get in, the first thing they say is "i'm so ****ing thirsty can we stop at a deli", I looked to my left and right and said "sure, there is one right there, go get something and get me a water if you don't mind I'll pay you when you come back"

The moment they walked in, I canceled and left.

To be fare uber doesn't force the drivers to pick-up this s****t all he have to do is cancel and choose to much luggage as an excuse he will get his cancelation fee and leave with dignity. Also he had a choice of saying no i won't do that even tlc won't fine you for that except if it was small bag. Plus they may be friends or something. And the driver just doing a favor.
