Are there any others out there who identify as either an "empath" or "highly sensitive person" who are extremely affected by the way the whole stupid system works? People at the top are becoming overnight millionaires while the peasant class grovels for crumbs and struggles to find affordable housing. The company can't figure out how to profit, and investor money continues to flow and burn in perpetuity. There is no empathy in Corporate America from the top looking down towards the bottom. It's so blatant with everything Uber does.

Can you literally sense and feel the lower and middle class being squeezed out for a wealthier class to take their place in society? Can you feel the struggle of the common man so deeply that it gives you insomnia? Is the toxicity while driving so high that you refuse to play the game anymore, being sucked dry by drunks, energy vampires, and other negative-type individuals? Can you see straight through all the psychological tricks Uber uses to retain its' drivers?

Needless to say, this is a horrible career path for anyone who processes information differently/feels emotions more intensely than most people in today's society.

I wouldn't call it a career but yeah, rideshare isn't for sensitive people. Gotta have a thicker skin for this "Gig".

When the Chinese communist took over China, the red party murder land owners simply because they were land owners.

Would you like that instead?

I'm pretty damn hardass. I still haven't heard anyone say, "Shit is it fun getting on Jake's bad side!" But man oh man...old people...they have me wrapped around their little finger. I must have waited 15 min one time for an airport pax who came inching up to my car using a walker. And she tipped me putting a $10 in my hand and squeezing my hand closed like your grandma used to do when she was sneaking cash to you around your parents. Lol. They have me right where they want me those old folk.

Egyptian pharaoh enslaved Hebrews to build pyramids only to annihilate them when not productive. Uber is same, building a platform on backs of drivers to annihilate them with autonomous vehicles.
About communism Uber's model the same. Those on top rule the community and decide what's best for them. Anyone who protests is punished, deprived of liberty, executed. Uber deactivates anyone who won't accept its terms. Uber decides what's good for the community. Uber is pharaoh. Uber is the communist party.

Please don't call guber and gryft as part of Corporate America. Guber and gryft came into existence on only one sole goal from day one, scam through ipo. They knew it from their existence. We all have to understand clearly one thing, no matter how much rideshare industry give itself fency names, it's still "A taxi industry". I have done taxi 2 years full time before guber. It was already bad back then when no one knows any rideshare company. If someone think they can make a career out from these ponzi scheme, blood sucking fake name corporate companies, they need to get a reality shock that they are asking trouble of all kinds by themselves. Rideshare is a great gig for people who are in between jobs and don't want to burn their savings or go homeless, people who are retired and getting a fix income check every month and have nothing to do in their life so they can kill 3-4 hours every day, for housewives who take care of their kids and have few hours everyday, or an average Joe who can turn on the app from his house or any palce without driving a single dead mile in his vehicle and if he gets few trips a day, great.

This gig, in a long run, will put everyone into misery if someone depends on it's income. Rideshare rates must not be less than 1.50 per mile. Still cheaper than taxi rates. On average, we are working on half of per mile rates. No matter how much we try to work smart by chasing surge and our sweet honey spot, it's still will catch up before we know it.

Uber and Lyft as I see them are parallel to Facescum. That said, i enjoy the people i cart around 99.9% of the time. Often they'll read my profile and that usually illicits good conversations. Especially long rides. Hell, I've got A customer that flew in from Japan to PBI. Drove him to Boca. He gave me his email and we've connected. He wants me to come top Japan so he can tout his ******* American friend.

I go back to snowflakes. Please don't take me wrong, I'm very empathetic to real mental issues, PTSD, etc., but I strongly suspect that you are a 20-something that has no clue about the real world or what real trauma & sacrifice look like.
