I'm an Uber driver visiting the Bay Area (Concord) from Florida. I have to catch a 6 a.m. flight out of OAK this Friday morning. I'm wondering whether I should rely on Uber for a 4:20 a.m. pickup in Concord or if that's too early to hope for a car on the road at that hour? Thanks!

I'm going to guess your chances are slim because Concord is more of the suburbs so you don't have as many drivers... Especially not at that time. If you were in SF, I would have said you had a 75% chance. Maybe arrange for a cab or shuttle.

I could be in the Concord area Friday morning. I did a fare estimate from the Concord Hilton hotel to Oakland Airport and the estimate is $42-$55 (1.0x).

I have seen frequent surges in the Concord area in the morning because sometimes the rider demand is higher than the driver supply because ride demand is pretty much very low at night compared to San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley. Be aware that if you request Uber on 9/25 (Friday), there may be a fare surge around 4:20 am for business travelers who need to get to SFO or OAK for morning flights.

If you miss the 4:12 am Concord to SFO train and you miss the transfer at MacArthur station at 4:38 am, you may not be able to check-in your flight on time.
