So i got a speeding ticket. Nothing crazy, just allowed my speed to build on a slight decline and happened to be the one of 4 cars doing the same speed that was pulled over heading south on 36 just before hitting the 270. Needless to say i use my cruise control alot more now.

the speeding tickect is 4 points, but i can pay early and have it reduced to a lesser charge of 2 points, but the ticket says it will be recorded as driving an unsafe vehicle.

Will this cause uber to boot me next time they review my driving record or could this just be considered something like i had a crack in my windshield that ive since fixed? Do i NEED to do traffic school? If so any suggestions on it?

Personally, I think you're better off with a speeding ticket then driving an unsafe vehicle, as far as Uber is concerned.

Honestly, that was sorta my thought process as well. Wondering if anyone else has had same experience. There was one other thread about a driver being screwed due to pleaing to a lesser charge, but the situation was different if i remember right.

An unsafe vehicle could mean anything from a crack in the windshield to God knows what.

Is it City and County of Denver? If it is, take the plea. I have operating unsafe vehicle on my record as well. Plus it's less points and as much as we drive, points are very valuable. Plus if you go to court, your going to rack up court fees and costs. You also will not be offered anything lower. This is essentially the DA's plea offer. Just outside the courtroom

I hadn't gotten. A ticket in over 8 years now in the past 32 months of doing Uber I've gotten 2 tickets both pleased down to unsafe vehicle and no issue. They were both about 2 years ago now (happened in a one month period) they have run 2 background checks since then and I'm still. Good so I wouldn't worry about it you should be fine.

It's 2 - 3 minor tickets over a 3 year span form my understanding o

You can set the Waze app to give you an alert if you go a certain amount, or percentage over the speed limit (I have mine set at 5% over).

I know where the major speed traps are, but good in neighborhoods you don't know well, where you might have a wide open street and it's still 30-35 mph. Or a stretch of freeway that might be just 55 (like noted above)

Their favorite spot is EB 36, either the inside shoulder under the bridge where they are in the shadow, or the outside exit lane right by the barrier. They also like that stretch between Federal and Pecos, but they have to be careful, if they go too far east, they don't have jurisdiction. Also, make sure who wrote the ticket, Westy, Adams County and CSP all work that exact same area.
