Usually I drop the passenger off on the street outside their house, but a few times lately I've been told to drop them off in their driveway, necessitating finding exactly the right one, then backing out into traffic. I don't mind if there is a reason, i.e. elderly pax, pouring rain ect, But when it seems to be a respect my authority thing in a posh suburb for a ten dollar fare, it seems a bit precious and lacking in the egalitarian spirit..
I get my rechargeable LED touch out for them after I drive them onto their drive way and open each of their doors before escorting them to the car doors with the torch. After they reach the house door they hand me their keys and I open the door for them holding it open for them as they step inside the door and I hand them back the keys as I close the door for them and wishing them a goodnight. I then get back into the car.
I like to think that they appreciate that extra level of service like Uber have been advising me to do... Door 2 Door service
