I drove three guys to a local bar last night, the shotgun pax said he used to drive for Lyft, and was talking about how amazing Uber was... and how much money they made by getting 20% of like "a million rides a day"

my head almost exploded. I did not bother to ask why he was a "former" Lyft driver.

As a driver who knows how bad tips are I always give crazy good tips to my drivers

Yet another fellow driver identified themselves, proceeded to give an attitude, despite their poor pin drop and poor English... And of course no tip. 1*.

While in the past I have not dinged riders for not tipping, I now have a new policy, esp since our rating system is one of the few things we as drivers can use to communicate with each other.

(1) 5* or 4* = Rider appears to be new or fairly unaware of how Uber works, let alone tipping... Attitude and courtesy will be a big factor which they get.

(2) 1* = Any rider that knows better, brings up the issue of tipping on their own then proceeds not to tip, or any driver that does not tip ( regardless of attitude)...

The sole reason of the lower ratings are simply to help other drivers identify them before they accept a request.

Tried that and the driver went on and on about how great Uber was and how HE'S making great money. No tip.

Wanted to tell him he's the reason the pax think we have it so great.

Oh and made me wait 3 minutes and was a minimum trip. Also pin on the wrong side of the street.

You can find my thread (probably under OCBOB #1) about no longer picking up drivers because I rated them low when they didn't tip.amd then they nailed me on my rating. I see you 3 digit rating, I am more likely ACRO your ass.

Same here. Dude was just so excited we got Uber, former driver, talked about tips and how Lyft has them, no tip.

You won't like Uber when no one will pick you up.
