Driverless cars and Boris Bikes.

Yesterday I saw Boris Bikes on a road. They reminded me with driverless cars. It is possible to use driverless cars, as minicabs, like Boris Bikes. The rider needs to know how to control it if needed and the rider has to go to it. For reasons of security and safety driverless cars will not be allowed on the road without someone inside them to control them if needed. There will be a limited minicab market for them because the fares will be more than cheap enough. The driverless cars need to have their special parking points, where riders go to them and bring them back or take them to. They are all going to be electric. So each rider has to connect it to a power point at the end of the trip.

I think your point is good, it will like Zip cars. Because there is no way that a car is going to drive hours arround to find a cheap customer, and than is not suitable for Uber riders. They book in zig zag, bus lane, at roundabout, they book where you can't stop plus they will eat and left rubish and bags...phones and staff...some drunk rider is going to keep sleeping in the car until next morning. I don't think driveless is a good business in London!

Yes indeed. That is a big problem especially at roundabouts. Once I got a booking at Vouxhall roundabout. By the time the rider arrived I got alot of insults, shouts and screams from other drives especially black cabbies.

Good point about the drunks falling asleep in them. It's gonna have to be a fog horn alarm to wake them up when they reach their destination.
