Ok guys just a quick and simple question: Do insurance brokers require the original DL from outside US to reduce cost of insurance or they are good with a copy of it? Will they check if it is not a fake somehow?;)

only one company that will accept DL from another country is american transit. Some brokers will ask for a certified letter from embassy. DL from another country does reduce insurance price with american transit. Even if it is accepted if they find out you used fake DL they will cancel your insurance and will not cover any medical costs or liability for you the only thing they cover in case of accident is medical costs of passenger and other driver or victim medical. Any property claims will be for both victim and you will not be addressed. They will sue you in attempt to collect all payouts they had to make on any claim the company paid out. They will check authenticity of DL after any major accident So as long as nothing major happens then you might be good if the accept they Fake DL but If they find out after they have paid out any claims on insurance they will refer your case to Insurance Fruad Investigator and if they have not paid out any claims they will just cancel your insurance.

All they Above references after from an actual accident case and ended with the driver being deported in 2014 after being found guilty of falsifying insurance records
