My view is that Uber should have calculated the reward based on BOTH trips completed AND years driving Uber.
I have 3460 trips (primarily weekends and some holidays) and have been driving for exactly 4 years (since March 2015).
I get $100 which works out to either 2.9c per ride based on number of rides OR $2.08 per month based on years driven (NOT BOTH)!! That does not sound very encouraging.
It would have been more rational to use the trips AND duration formula and would reward way more drivers.
For example, in my case, even say $50 per year driven and 10c per completed ride ($546) would be more appropriate.
Just my opinion (gripe??)
Any comments?

Ummm... I hope your taxes are more accurate. $100 / 4 years = $25 per year, not $2.08. :confusion:

No, I see just the number of rides as a good basis. There are surely people that have driven far less per year than you. Is it fair to you that they'd get the same money as you for having been around 4 years and maybe driven a few hundred rides? :geek:

I'm offering no opinion on the amount paid out though. :speechless: :coolio:

Your rationale would require Uber to pay more, which they don't want to do. Ever.
Not really, as it would spread the appreciation to more drivers and maybe even reduce the overall payout money by Uber. The drivers getting $10,000 (and $20,000??) would, of course, technically "lose" as the 20,000 rides drivers would get only $2200 assuming 4 years of driving.

My fault - I meant to say $2.08 per month not per year!!
I'm glad you noticed. Have corrected my original post. Thanks.
