I've been a dormant driver for sometime, over a year. I just randomly logged into my uber driver portal and noticed over $800 in monthly charges for an old iphon4 they supplied me. I sent this back months and months ago. Anyone else had this issue?

Dback2004 here, stepping in for some random useless support persona based in India or the Phillipines. Thanks for reaching out, glad to explain! Everything here at Uber is the driver's fault, Uber is a technology company and has no responsibility for anything. It's your responsibility to return our phone to us, verify that we got it, and make sure we stop billing you. Stopping billing, of course, is directly counterproductive to our overall goal of screwing drivers over and making more money. If you have any further concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Have a great day.

I hope you have the tracking number saved somewhere...

When dealing with Uber, always cover your ass. I hope you have tracking info on that shipped phone that shows they got it back. Otherwise I'm afraid you're in for a battle to get those charges removed (although if you're not generating any income for them by not driving they'll have a fun time collecting from you :D)

When Fuber started to charge a rental fee and allowed iPhone BYOD I immediately returned the phone and got a receipt. Such a crappy white AT&T iPhone 4 too.

Just go into the office, and they will fix it for you, credit you, etc. Or they should. i've been charged and credited, in the past, but I went into the office to get it rectified. Also, this is why I never send anything, I hand deliver and get a receipt.
