All rideshare protests are as feeble and doomed to fail like most taxi protests in US.
Cockroaches is more appropriate. I always thought ant term was ridiculous. Ants work in unison. Opposite of what Uber drivers do. Average IQ of ant higher than Uber driver.Ant bite adds up :smiles:
At least their brains are the same sizeCockroaches is more appropriate. I always thought ant term was ridiculous. Ants work in unison. Opposite of what Uber drivers do. Average IQ of ant higher than Uber driver.
It doesn't matter. People here live to complain about why everything sucks. If there's no pain, then there's no fun. We are masochists. How in the world are you guys driving at the same per mile rate as Charlotte. Gas is very high right now, $2.57 a gallon and I barely drive. I know you make more than our $.11 per minute, but even with a Prius gas over $4 a gallon seems like your costs for fuel should be near 20% of revenue.
It's not pointless if it becomes recurring. I sat in a 2.6 surge for half an hour tonight with zero pings. Strike or not, massive quits are on the way. Many people that I know are working on an exit plan. All rideshare protests are as feeble and doomed to fail like most taxi protests in US.
I agree. The psychological games by both U/L combined with the low pay when you actually do get a ping is too much to bear. It's not pointless if it becomes recurring. Read about the New York City rideshare market: Cap on adding more rideshare cars, A required living wage. These standards didn't come out of thin air. They came from protest and organizing. Anyone with half a brain is getting out now or has already got out. Still rideshare driving is a low skilled labor occupation and they will always have 1,000 to replace one that leaves. It's not pointless if it becomes recurring. New York City is an excemption to the rule. It is also the place where there are rideshare alternatives to Uber and Lyft. For the most part, there is no hope for rideshare in US. Uber and Lyft has paid most of the major politicians and they will avoid all regulations, with New York City being an excemption.Read about the New York City rideshare market: Cap on adding more rideshare cars, A required living wage. Your welcome.
They were named ants because the cars look like ants on the pax appCockroaches is more appropriate. I always thought ant term was ridiculous. Ants work in unison. Opposite of what Uber drivers do. Average IQ of ant higher than Uber driver.
The rideshare market is very young compared to the very mature New York taxi and limousine industry. All the big limousine companies are located within the Tri-State area. None of them on the West coast. So, their rideshare regulations are well structured, strict and very enforceable.Anyone with half a brain is getting out now or has already got out. I don't know why we're such victims in LA - we just seem to bend over and take it.Read about the New York City rideshare market: Cap on adding more rideshare cars, A required living wage. I was thinking more Boston would be next maybe. Chicago maybe I can see. That is as far as it will go. Assuming anyone could stand up to the politicians bribed by Uber and Lyft, full automation will take over before full taxi like regulations could be implemented. Driving jobs will just be for cargo-freight, heavy or farming or specialized machinery, long distance or rural shuttles and private chauffeurs. All metro taxi and rideshare driving will be fully replaced by the time this union dream or regulation dream could ever be attained. The rideshare market is very young compared to the very mature New York taxi and limousine industry. Next in line to reach this strict level will be Chicago. Thanks to both Taxi and Rideshare drivers demanding MORE regulation:

Regulated you will be tested for sure. If hair tests are used you will have to be clean for as long as your hair has grown out.If Uber becomes regulated, will the drivers be required to take a piss test? I love my weed after work so if they start doing that I'll have to buy the synthetic urine called P -sure. It's about 50 bucks and even has a warming sandbag type of thing that you attach to it to bring it up to temperature. LOL
The only downfall is if somebody actually watches you take a piss, then it won't work.
That's the LA way! What do you think happens in Hollyweird? :biggrin:I don't know why we're such victims in LA - we just seem to bend over and take it.
And Uber and Lyft money.Lost Cause...because of deaf ears.
