I'm in the Vancouver area and i haven't worked in a week because I'm scared to drive in the snow even though I have winter tires. Since we don't get the exact address, I'm worried about getting stuck on a side street or hill that hasn't been plowed. If your working in this westher, can you please share with me how you are managing? I would like to work tomorrow night since it's new years eve but I'm wondering if I should stay home and wait for the weather to clear up. Feedback is much appreciated!

I don't do UE.....I do X......but with 4 snow tires in a city that has -40 temps and snow for 6 months of the year, I don't have problems.

Park facing downhill.....maybe walk half a block.......stay out of the alleys and ruts.....etc.

Adapt or park.

I play it by ear, if I start seeing buses going sideways during a snowfall I'll call it a night, and usually the next day if the roads aren't plowed i'll just stay home. But having done a few hours this morning I can say that my all seasons have been no issue, so your winters should also pose no problem for what is now mostly slush.
I don't know how worn down your winters are, or how brave you are at going down alleys or parking in snowbanks, but those can be hazards or challenges to driving around town for the next few days.

I don't know if you're doing X or just eats, but either way just play it safe and find a safe place to park when you're picking up or dropping off, and please don't be one of those people who just turn their hazards on and leaves their car running blocking a whole lane.
I'm legit curious how busy tonight is going to be, considering places aren't supposed to be open and gatherings are supposed to be kept to a minimum.
Either way, welcome to up.net and the Vancouver subforum, glad to see some activity!

"Since we don't get the exact address..."

What? You aren't given the exact delivery address when doing Eats? Are you guys actually chasing down pins to find out where to deliver the food?

any updates? our most recent dump of snow has finally melted with today's heavy rains.
I took the necessary days off, and worked a few hours when it looked decent. Avoided collisions and damage but had to wash the car about 8 times.

Hope everything went well for all.

That's a nice scene ANT7
