Yes! Thanks Mr Squirrel!
So this "Via Transportation UK Ltd" must be what they call THE THIRD PARTY minicab company...o_O

YOU AGREE THAT VIAVAN DOES NOT PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AND IS NOT A TRANSPORTATION CARRIER. WE MERELY ACT AS THE COMMERCIAL AGENT OF THE THIRD-PARTY TRANSPORTATION PROVIDER, DRIVER, OR VEHICLE OPERATOR IN OFFERING TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AND IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS PARTY TO PROVIDE THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICE WHICH MAY BE RESERVED THROUGH OUR SERVICE.

Sounds familiar??

Looks dodgy any way I will not join any app based firm
PH Ops that don't have an App will lose more and more market share as time goes by.

Like it or not punters want to use Apps for their general running around.

Even prebooking a job for days in advance people like to do on an App.

But there is a difference between an Operator that is solely App based and one that has phone lines to accept bookings aswell as Email bookings.

But this is not news to anybody.

I work in a small firm that takes most of their bookings from their own website
90 of jobs are airport runs

An Op the does mostly Airport runs is not a run of the mill PH Op, they have specialised in one direction.

Though as more and more people that prefer Apps leave Uni or get a better paid job and head towards their mid 20's the number of people wanting to prebook a car via a phoneline will drop.

I got a prebooked AddLee to take us to the Airport in 2016.

Nice and easy.

Why would I want to mess about phoning companies to try and get an MPV sorted then get cancelled on at the last minute or for the driver to run late with no contact from the Minicab Office?

Make your money whilst it lasts at your non App Operator.

Because long term there is no future in phone bookings, how much longer before the overheads of running a cash office negate the earnings from walk in punters?
