I remember when Foursquare was the big thing. People just wanted to check in at places to get badges. There were sites and blogs dedicated to these stupid badges and how to unlock then. They decided to downplay the badges that were why people used their app and became a watered down version of Yelp that nobody wanted.
Uber is their own worst enemy. They have the power to make drivers and riders happy, but their arrogance keeps them from doing it.
