So, I am seeing threads from all over the country about how trips ended early or couldn't start or finish trips at about 11:30pm EST last night. Glitches happen. Hopefully everyone gets paid fairly and all works out. But it made me think of the last time the system actually went down.

It was about two years ago, on a weekend night, I don't remember which day. But the system shut down. If you were logged in you stayed in and looked normal, but if you logged out the system wouldnt allow you to log back in as a driver.

If you went to the passenger app NO CARS were available, and that was anywhere, just move the pin around and NYC had None, NJ had None, LA has none.

I believe it was about 2 hours before the system came back online.

Anyone else remember that night? Summer weekend night in 2015...

I had the issue last night. On a 2.1 surge from East Hanover to the Upper West side. On 280 and get what looks like a stacked ping. Pings on half of my screen. I ignore it. Got anothet as I was on 95. Get to the destination and the app shows me as logged out. Plus there was no evidence of the trip. Nothing in the trips section. Not in the way bill.

This morning it shows up as the trip ended in east orange. I put in for an adjustment. This should be fun.

I had a few glitches last night. I'd get to the pick up spot and the trip was gone, but then reappeared. One time the trip I was on started pinging after we were halfway done. Luckily the final breakdowns including surge came out correct.

It happens in Point Pleasant Beach and Belmar every year. They're so many people in these areas in the summertime, the signal on your phone gets slow and you can't open up apps.
I wasn't talk about the slow cell signal. If you were doing this two years ago, the entire system was offline for about 2 hours worldwide...I remember seeing an article about it then it was mysteriously deleted from existence...

Don't know about that but they did fire apparently large numbers of drivers in LA by text message that summer, then "rehired" us a few hours later, also by text.

For me it was last summer, which sucked because I had a drop-off balls deep in Hudson County and was forced to just go home because it didn't come back on for a while. Luckily I got a $50 "commitment to reliability" payment later that night.

Hey Uber. Might need to set another one of those up after last night.

oh snap- I out and out accused my pax of canceling during the ride- opps
I would have done the same thing... Few months back I kicked out a pax driving into Philly.... He kept denying that he did it and pretty sure you did. But that is funny can you imagine how many people got kicked out when that happened
