[Uber circus]

Anyone had this nonsense that they just drop you offline and say they need docs? No warning, no notifications or anything. Been driving part time for almost 4 years now to make up a bit of extra money. 3 days ago they just kicked me offline and said they needed my passport and social card. After driving an hour each way to the pathetic green light hub I was told it takes about 2 hours to be back online. 3 days later and nothing. Called the phone support line and had some lemon who I doubt has been to school helping me. All he could say it was being reviewed. No idea of anything else. I have seen unless people in my life but these guys take first place. Anyone else been through this?

I get similar disruption twice per year when my insurance card changes. I just retry, retry, and usually get back online within a half-day.

My insurance card and that has always been quick. This time they have asked for my passport and social security card. Odd as that has never changed

I had a huge screwup with my ins card & uber because uber cant read ins cards.

But passport? Sounds more like a pax reported you for something. Maybe someone said the driver didnt match the driver photo?

a passenger has nothing to do with your social or passport. Generally. They have issues time to time with something not matching with records at iRS even though you changed nothing. Many cases missing middle initial and things if this nature.they even told me they would withhold 24% of earnings until I matched info with IRS. Send a copy of social is easier. This will verify your identity. Of course passport works too.
