Ames is flooded with Uber cars which give us Ames driver zero chance to actually make money. I haven't seen a surge so far and I doubt this is going to change with all these cars online. I would appreciate your thoughts guys.
Saw some surges early this morning, got 3 trips with surges including a long one. Though, yes more then 10 drivers in Ames is killing it for the Ames native drivers. For I made about 100 bucks (before incentives) in 24 trips, and in comparison to the UNI game I made about triple that with around the same number of trips. Hence, why I am responding here instead of going around driving drunk people around.
Unfortunately that is what happens when Uber offers guaranteed rates at $22 during the day and $30 in the afternoon. On another note, they really need to stop lying about guaranteed rates because they still take their 30% cut out of that which means they were really only guaranteeing $15.40 and $20 per hour. I imagine before long there will be some sort of false advertising lawsuit over this.
