In my "mentor" session today I was told that for a real serious issue with a pax rate them a "1" and someone from Lyft will contact me and they will likely ban that rider..
True?

..he also told me that it's ok to transport unaccompanied minors as long as their parents gave an "ok", which I understand is illegal here in CA so I'm not sure I believe everything he said..

If you rate a pax 1* they usually will follow up with an email if you didn't write any comments.

You should not be porting under aged children without adult supervision. It's against Lyft's TOS.

I still get follow up emails from Lyft whenever I rate a Pax 2 or less with the promise I won't be matched w/ them again

In the past I rated all my Pax 5 stars, as long as they weren't idiots, or cause me any headaches. Now I'm being much more honest with myself, if you say anything that sounds off the beaten path, or do anything disrespectful, you get 3 star or below. I am no longer handing out fake 5 star ratings for nothing.

Anytime I give a 3 or under I get an email. It makes me not want to do it as I could see Lyft penalizing the driver for too many low pax ratings. They penalize you for everything else.

I would never take a minor. Too much libility.

Your mentor was dead wrong about the policy on minors and you should immediately report him to Lyft for incompetence.
