The mathematical heart of the matter as an UberX driver is:

Driver count is growing exponentially,

Rider count is increasing, but at a decreasing rate,

Fare basis is declining with regularity, (price wars)

Phone fees becoming standard (and will predictably go up slowly),

Thus, an ever rising tide of drivers will be chasing a barely growing number of pings for less money and more upfront driver expense....equals= massive driver turnover

Uber- your business model will ultimately fail unless you:

Increase fares,

Limit drivers in any market by wait listing new ones,

revamp your rating system for drivers

Eliminate ANY fees for drivers

Agree ... except for wait listing new drivers. I'm not scared of competition, I am the competition. Yes though, uber is going to have a lot of service issues with this no-tip low fare policy. People where I work will pay for good service. Uber needs to make them.
