The hidden cost of over-regulation in the U.S. is 1.8 trillion a year. Governments worldwide are increasing regulations on Uber. This is a shame. The answer is never more government but rather honest companies run by honest people. Sad.

Uber isn't at fault for crippling over-regulation.

Uber is the result of crippling over-regulation.

They are one of the only companies big enough to sway regulators to make a carve-out for them, and one of the only companies ballsy enough to ignore regulations that stifle more law-abiding organizations.

Yes, Uber does deserve credit for flipping off the regulators but it comes at high risk. That's why making enemies of your employees and contractors was such a dumb move. Buying off politicians for a carve-out works in the short term but it's starting to catch up with them. Glad I don't own Uber stock.

Hmmm....no.

Over regulation comes.from bloated bureaucracies attempting to justify their exsitance and budgets.

As stated above, taxi regulations came out of sketchy cab companies operating poorly. That's not over regulation, but it does lead to further regulation as more observations are made.

Over regulation is simply revenue generation.
