Did you have a handy copy of your vehicle registration when signing up?

I assumed that like me, most people immediately throw away the receipt for their vehicle registration as soon as they get the windshield sticker. Is this not true? If you had to get a "registration card" which I've never heard of in texas, can you do it online? Is the "registration receipt" sufficient? Is a photo of the sticker on my windshield sufficient?

thanks-

If the ownership of the Vehicle ever comes into question then the prof of registration is a huge and I mean HUGE need. Get pulled over matching a stolen car's description with only partial plates you will hope to have some sort of prof the car is yours. Decals will generally not be enough in this case.
I believe the document states it does not need to be kept in your vehicle unless it is a commercial vehicle. Not sure the exact wording off hand.
Yes but at the same time Jwallis stated ppl throw it away. Me I don't I keep it. I can show ownership via insurance and tags and other documents. For a court case if one should ever arise I can show registration papers. Why throw away prof of ownership?
