Did 2 trips yesterday, both of them on the longer side. Passenger was charged in the $65 range for both of them.

I got tipped on both of them but for odd amounts. One of the tips was exactly 15% of what the passenger was charged and the other was exactly 20%.

It seems like it would be a strange coincidence for 2 passengers in a row to do the math themselves to leave a percentage.

I don't know for sure but I also believe that that is the case. It's been happening for a few months now. A dollar amount and X number of cents so I could only conclude that the passenger now is able to add a percentage as a tip.

Its been an option for awhile now, maybe 3 months or so. IDK what happened this weekend but I usually do pretty good with tips, anywhere from 15-25% of my total fares and usually about 80% of my pax leave something, even if its only $1. Of my 9 Uber rides last week, 0 tips, I don't recall that ever happening. On my 4 Lyft rides, much better with 3 tips. $60 in fares and $20 in tips.

I think I read it in here a few months back that Goober is presenting the higher fares with the percentage option and the lower fares with the simple 1-2-3

Yeah it seems that is the answer. It looks like they present $1, $2, and $5 options on shorter trips and 10%, 15%, and 20% options on longer ones.
