So Person A requests pickup from high school. Two pax get in and their destination is a decent ways away. They ask if hey can make a stop real quick. Girl #1 and the one who responded to the name on the app gets out. Pax B says ok we can go now, also I noticed that Pax A had now changed destination to her "quick stop" and then back to original destination which turns out was pax b house. They conveniently spoke very little English.

I was paid 4.49 and did two rides for one.

two pax get in , two get out, but 1 left? if 1 got out only and changed the destination its not a scam, its uber's bs of taking split fare and shafting the driver. i have dropped off 4 ppl 3 different locations and only got $7 base off time and distance as if only 1 pax, yet uber got multiple split fare fees.

From my understanding, Joe ordered the uber on his phone with the destination being Bobs house. When I picked them up Joe asks "can we make a stop real quick, I'll be fast" sure, detour to Joes house. Joe gets out and leaves Bob in car which Uber thinks is Joe. I then was forced to continue to the destination to end the ride

This story isn't making any sense.

You're thinking of UberPool, the OP is not describing UberPool

There is nothing wrong with this as long as the addresses are updated in the pax app.

I do this all the time, it extends your trip so who cares? You get paid by miles and times, so the more miles they add to their trip the better.

I got 2 pax request to close out my night on Saturday. Two different destinations and it was 2.2x UberX trip. First girl wanted to go about 10 miles in one direction, then her friend was getting dropped 10 miles further south. 20 miles and it ended up around $35 ish.

As long as the pit stops don't take longer than 2 minutes, I don't have an issue with it. Even better if it was a quick "Hop in, hop out" of a pax which only takes about 15 seconds and you're back on the road.

Right but two things. I have no idea who this is in my car, and I got cheated out of a ride towards the promos.

You can ask them their name if you'd like. I routinely get 4 pax in my car, with me only "knowing" one of them. Knowing is definitely in quotations because by "knowing" them, we only "know" their first name. Uber doesn't do background checks on Pax and I certainly don't have the time or resources to do so before pax get into my vehicle.

Not originally. It was listed as unknown address for dest and pay was 0.00 then I tried to change to actual destination thru support and it got adjusted to 4.49 finally it was adjusted again
Well that's your first issue going anywhere without a destination in the app.

If the address was updated in the app by the pax, the details on the transaction may not show a destination address as the trip had multiple destinations.

Always have a destination, always have it changed by the pax in the pax app. As long as you do that every time, you'll be fine. You'll never truly "know" any of your pax, that's the risk of ride for hire business...

Right bud the pax rating system is usually a pretty good way of weeding out the bad ones.

I know that we have to consider transgender folks these days, but I'm confused as to what/who these pax were. Girl # 1, Pax A&B, then Joe and Bob? Where the heck is my scorecard?:eek::p

Dest was fine at pickup. It was only after I checked my fares.

So it's not normal right?
as i said before , that is normal , and its uber that allows us to get screwed not the pax. they take .75 split fee from pax #2 and possibly #3 if 3 pax spliting fare. we get nothing. but i do rate low pax who do this as 3 ppl can be splitting as i said $7 and its extra hassle .

So they could have possible arranged this beforehand and it was all good? Why lie then and say she was just grabbing something from her house and end up staying.
that is odd, but pax sometimes think they are pulling a fast one on us, but really its "legit" according to uber. perhaps she texted her friend she is staying and go ahead on who knows.
