Their links to sign up to drive no longer work in Austin or Dallas/FTW but Houston and Galveston do. Odd.

One of the more polite lessons learned is that metro areas of 50,000 are poor places to put all of one's eggs in. Especially after regulatory floodgates open. Though the numbers were still poor before the folks in Austin abolished all local regulation.

I would not be surprised if Michael Vayner was just simply fired. Nothing ever seem to get done. He started a photo booth business and it did not take me long to see that he was advertising that while he was doing promotions for getme.

Here is an example:

You may say.. well, he probably told them because why would he post it on facebook? Well, there has been complete radio silence from get me on this group page, leading me to believe that they do not have access to this group for drivers. I may of sent this same photo to another manager I found through facebook and this particular manager ended up telling me "thank you so much, this is really helpful"

The fact that the website still says they are in Houston and I can still log in, really leads me to believe hew as fired. As for no drivers being onboarded? It has been this way for at least a few months (why onboard drivers when you have to pay to get them background checked and there are no rides?)

Anyhow, I was hoping getme could of been a viable alternative to Uber before Lyft came. With lyft here, it makes it that much harder, but I would not say impossible but they really need someone to go in and grab the marketing aspect by the horns. I honestly felt like Michael Vayner was just there to collect a paycheck, especially after he started to work on his photo booth company more than getme.

But yea, it sucks his place flooded. I am not giving him money though.

Anyhow, hopefully they can hire someone

He can get a low cost FEMA disaster loan if he really needs the money. Also creditors are waving fees and payments so that helps to. Sounds like he is just popular enough for people to give him free money. Good for him I guess but I am not sold on the story. If you see my house, I have almost no furniture and literally nothing in the fridge but distilled water and a white onion. People should start a gofundme for me to. Ah I dont have two daughters to exploit. Why doesnt he move back home around his family? Just doesnt make sense to me.
