Just wondering if they are only doing BOOST now.

I haven't drove since they stopped.

Just when I finally figured out how to play the system haha.

I kept getting text messages yesterday about it being busy and adele concert but I checked in throughout the day and no surge.

I took a lyft Saturday night and tipped the driver $4 on 16 bill.

I won't tip Uber drivers thou because its already included haha

Nothing for me. Only this earning boost thing. Which sucks by the way. Let's cram all the drivers into a designated area of the city that is probably going to surge anyway. No thanks. I gave it an honest effort last week and it was a complete waste of time. Excessive pool rides in bumper to bumper city traffic. It's impossible to do enough rides to make it worth while. Plus, I live in the west suburbs so unless I end up with a trip headed that way, I'm driving by myself to the rat race. It wouldn't be bad if the Earnings Boost was for the entire Chicagoland area. But, to limit it just the area that they have marked out? Lame. Now the people on the south and west side are really gonna have a hell of a time finding a ride. Good job Uber. This is the second worst idea, since Uber Pool.

I actually like the boost.. I find im able to hit my daily goals of $100 or more alot sooner, and I don't have to worry about the mother ship screwing me out of a guarantee payment come Monday. On a 1.4x -1.5x from downtown to ohare you can get $30- $33 for an airport run which is what we should be getting anyways without boost imo but without boost that same ride is $17- $20 if your lucky, sometimes it can be less. Yes that trip does pull me out of the boost area but if youre lucky you pull into the ord waiting lot and get a ride back into the city within 20-30 minutes. Or you deadhead and head back into the city. Alot of this job is getting lucky with ping's that are in your favor.. some days you feel like God is your best friend and you are one with the universe and then other days you wonder how anything like uber pool can even exist and how far your pain threshold will hold before you snap on that pool customer that's pushed all your buttons.

Agreed they could definitely make the boost a little higher. Especially in the AM and weekend boost... also wish they would give us the option of working boost or guarantee hours.. I think that would help everyone's driving and life style.. but let's be real.. that's a perfect world.. and this is not..

I got the guarantee this past weekend and this week after having boost the previous week and weekend. As others have stated, I refuse to waste my time doing the boost. I prefer to drive Lyft unless Uber offers me the guarantee. No guarantee = No Pool and No drive. The guarantee has become my only motivation to drive. Rates are extremely low to begin with, and with Chicago's Minimum wage increasing over the next couple of years, driving and making anything under 25$ an hour is simply not worth it for me.

I don't need to drive as I do this part time, but I hustle hard (when they make it worthwhile for us drivers) So, hopefully Uber gets smart and increases the rates which will pay us and them more, and riders will continue to pay because the service is one of convenience and is needed.

I picked someone up in Orland Hills after dropping in Lockport a good 15 minutes away, I took it because I'm unfamiliar with south burbs so something is better than nothing and he was so grateful that I came so he could get to work on time. Apparently he has never had this much trouble or wait for an uber until these last couple weeks.

Thanks for the story Jame1987. That's at least one data point that this Uber experiment of rotating drivers through Guarantee and then Boost may be having a detrimental effect on suburban service. I've heard multiple voices on this forum like my own that, as a suburban driver, getting the Boost promotion just keeps us off the road.
