I am on uber eat on one app just to see /check demand . Zero pings from lakeside all the way until i got to the airport including 40 minutes waiting to wash my car at soapy joe.
If uber eat is DEAD, that means everything else is suuuuuuuper dead.

Both.
So many times I pick up people from airport to go only one two miles to a nearby parking lot where they park their car for less than 10$ a day and rather they pay uber ,they save that way drivng their car back home.
Samething with people attending concerts,I picked up so many people where they park their cars just close to get into 94 or 5 north without raising any red flags coz they are drunk.
Few bucks for uber and a can of energy/coffee before driving home and quick piss at the parking spot and vrooom vrooom back home from there.
So yes, people are not spending ,also alot of people are renting from hertz....etc

No more stimulus checks or unemployment assistance. People don’t have the extra money to order food. If you think it’s slow now, just wait for all the holiday drivers to sign up in November. There’s gonna be ants everywhere. And they’re not giving up until January.

Do you think it is due to too many drivers or people stopped spending ?
Don’t think the affluent communities will bail you out either. People in La Jolla are worth millions but they spend money like they make $50,000 a year. For the love of God do not drive up to Los Angeles for rides we are slow too. I’ve been sitting for four hours with nothing.

i was getting by easy n making money.
This June,July I tried three times working in LA COUNTY and Ventura as well too.
I am talking about richy rich niebourhoods West Hollywood,Beverly hills,Bell air, thousands oaks .....etc you name it.
18 hours a day cruising miles n miles waiting hours n hours and NOTHING 0$$$$$$$.

Shit, in san diego ,I know why our biz if F. up, because people who were not be able to afford a prius payment, now they have got 15 to 20 brand new SUVs getting loans from SBA,PPP,CCC,DDD,EEE etc looool.
I want to see them how they will go through these next few stormy bad terrible coming months. When all their drivers who are renting from the owners $850 to $1000 a week will bend and return back the keys to the proud business owners loooool

Despite this incompetent administration denying it, we are in a recession with no end in sight. I was driving last night with a decent Lyft sticky surge for a good 20 minutes before I got anything.

All full-time drivers should be working on those resumes and looking for something more stable. I know I am.

Business insider and Forbes put a articles four months ago saying that the fed admitted that’s it’s purposely creating a recession to ease inflation. Even though most of our pax money isn’t being affected when they hear recession they stop spending. The fed is raising interest rates on purpose. Inflation is going down so it’s working.

The simple answer is that there are too many drivers which cause the surges to drop off quickly and the bonuses lately are also down because Uber doesn’t need to entice drivers to work. My weekly earnings have dropped by about $200-$250 but the number of rides per week have remained the same.

Do you think it is due to too many drivers or people stopped spending ?

Could there be other Rideshare apps siphoning off business? According to this website there are 17 rideshare companies operating in San Diego, but I haven't the foggiest clue what they are besides the obvious two.
