I'm sick of Uber's crap. Lyft is barely better but at least there is a tipping option (about 40% tip on lyft compared to 2% on uber) and people come out fast, they don't linger like uberr folks. Just this last month I signed up over 25 people on lyft, 10$ each! I hope I'm screwing Uberr a ton

EDITED FOR CLARITY: signing up pax not drivers

My pings for Uber have been slow. My theory is they've been reading this forum and are not happy with me and how I want a tip. And so they've been giving more rides to other drivers cuz they want me to shape up and be a company man.

Got 4 times more pings with lyft this week than Uber. Seems like they're treating me better cuz I'm kinda more on their side.

That's why Uber gave me a 1 star, to shape up and stop expecting tips.

My theory is, they were not only reading this forum and identified you, but from the international space station they are observing you (and us) constantly. Maybe they were unhappy about they way you drive, park, or any other little incident that is a death sin in Uberverse, like accepting a tip.

Furthermore, you can bet they are secretly listening to our convos with passengers through the app. Something you might have said regarding tips or Uber might have set off an alarm at Uber HQ. Just do Lyft for a while and see if the situation remedies itself over time.

By signing anyone on you are only screwing yourself.
I'm not stupid to sign up competition. I'm signing up pax

Youre screwing yourself by saturating your own market. Now you got 25 more drivers just from you competing for the same pings all for a measily $250 in referral fees.
Again, I never sign up more competition. These are pax referrals

It sucks. I may have to play their game for a while and stop complaining about tips but that's just how it is. I can't let it define me though.

Too bad some drivers still luring unsuspecting wannabe Uber/Lyft drivers and lying thru their teeth on how much money we make. These drivers are stupid enough to shoot themselves in the foot several times before they learn their lesson. A few just drive a couple of days a month just to stay active and screw the rest of the drivers.

The tips on Lyft are what keep me using the platform. Just yesterday alone I made $22 in tips for about 4 hours of driving. Whenever I do Uber I rarely get a tip.

In the long run the tips make a huge difference for me. For instance, I made $120, earned $89 but the tips made up the difference of the percentage Lyft will take. With Uber there's nothing to off set the percentage they take with out bringing tips up.
*example of earnings is not exact, only for reference.

And just my 2¢, I would never look to get new drivers either. We need more PAX in my market. The drivers are over saturated in my opinion.
I'm usually telling people to sign up as a pax
I always tell them how difficult it is to earn money driving. There's nothing easy about it.

You believe Oops!ber knows your identity?

They are talking about pax referrals, not driver referrals.
. . . Again . . . $10?!
