Just recieved an email stating my inspection stickers have expired. Called them and told them this and the rep said they do and if i dont supply a photo of valid stickers i will be suspended within 24 hours. I have no idea what they are asking for. Ideas?

This is a ridiculous joke. I drive to the Bethany Beach, and Uber wants to block my account because of the Pennsylvania inspection? I'll spend more on gasoline to Philadelphia than I earn on the Uber for a week, it will be necessary to take a day off, two more weeks earn on the Uber.

At this point I consider it harassment. I called last week and again yesterday. In between I received multiple daily emails and notices on my app. Yesterday the first rep hung up on me. The second was useless. I reported this as harassment toward me personally and will follow up with a complaint if I get one more notification, which I made clear.

I think you are being really selfish about this.

You know and I know that Delaware is an "Inspection before renewal" state. You know and I know also that Delaware has no inspection stickers as their validation tags on the license plate technically serve as that. However, you are beating a dead horse here. Uber wants a valid windshield sticker form PA, period. It sucks. Its a stupid rule. I don't agree with it. But this is what they want. So if you want to keep driving for Uber, stop complaining anf put on your big boy pants and make some phone calls in PA for a safety only inspection near the border. Lots of places in Delco will do this for you. Costs $20 and its done.

"Oh its too far" blah blah blah. I feel your pain but you will not win. This is Uber. They do what they want. I suggest if this really bothers you to still get the inspection done then keep trying to contact Uber to get the rules changed.

On another note, I d0 know when you inspect your car in Delaware at one of their inspection stations, they give you a paper with the results. Why didn't you send that to Uber? Either way, do what you need to do to make Uber happy. They aren't going to stop everything and investigate if you are right, just for you.

Jax, Born, raised and lived in Delco 57 years. No way inspection is $20. Who are you trying to con. I got the Delaware inspection and sent it to Uber . They extended for 3 months. You are right about one thing though....Uber makes up the rules as it goes along. Uber disregards State law and bullies drivers. My solution.... I signed up for Lyft, which accepted my legally valid DE registration immediately. And went back to full time work with excellent benefits. Uber's arrogance did me a big favor. I stand up to Bullies. You and Uber. It has nothing to do with being selfish. It has to do with "Principles ", which it is obvious you don't comprehend.

I don't appreciate your tone. You obviously think I commented to harass you instead of help you and offer advice. I guess you can't fix stupid.

Regardless, in PA, there are three types of inspection counties. Two types of them require a safety AND emissions sticker bur the type of emission tests are different. The other type on my requires a safety inspection with only the safety sticker displayed. Regardless of what county a garage that does PA inspections is located in, they will do the type of inspection according to either the county on the registration or the type of test the customer requests. Requests meaning someone from a safety only county visiting in Philadelphia, for instance, but wants a full safety and emissions because they will be moving to Philly.

So... with that said, you can easily drive to Delco and "request" a safety only inspection, which is what Uber needs. It only costs $20 to $25 in most cases, if nothing else is wrong.

I think you need to work on your arrogance. You are posting in a public forum to share your experiences and get some guidance. What I have you was some guidance hoping it would be helpful. I didn't ask for an attitude after taking time out of my day to help. I think you need to take a break from whatever is stressing you out in your life if you are this angry.

Good luck to you.

Thanks Bob, Is that a Bernese in the photo? Super dog! I have one. Anyway, on topic, I am done with a Uber and the shady business. Most posting on this forum are very decent, helpful people but there are also a bully or two, as anywhere.
