That graph wouldn't sway me toward or against EV, ICE or Hybrid. The number's aren't significant enough in any direction.

Compelling reasons for purchasing one or the other would be performance, comfort, tax breaks, application of the vehicle (long range, city driving, etc.), or a bunch of other things before saving or spending a few thousand bucks over 10 years of ownership.

And I don't think those numbers are very accurate. EV's can be had very cheaply on the used market right now compared to comparably equipped ICE vehicles. But on the flip side, EV's may not always be cheaper in the long run since repairs can be expensive. Either way, doesn't seem super accurate compared to reality.

They are, like I originally mentioned way back when Dara was pushing them on rideshare drivers, a total losers option except for the rare niche crowd that can keep their daily travel down to just under 10 or 20 miles a day.
That's the biggest red flag. If Uber is pushing you to do something, doing the OPPOSITE is likely the best approach. They don't promote anything for the drivers benefit.

I do not understand your irrational hatred of EV's, a subject you are blissfully ignorant about. What is your problem? This is a crap graph that does not illustrate true cost of ownership. You also fail to acknowledge that EV's are a tool but not a one size fits all tool, great for some, terrible for others. If you have home charging and drive in a heavily congested urban area, an EV can be absolutely fantastic. If you don't have access to home charging and live in a rural area that will require you to drive over 200 miles a day then it might not be such a great idea.

In short, stop bloviating about things you don't understand, it just makes you look like a fool.
The thing is, it's all gotten political. The argument between EV and ICE is no different than someone arguing about Mac vs. PC or Walmart vs. Whole Foods. Each one has their strength and weakness.

It's like I'm going to go around arguing that reciprocating saws suck and that you should use a die grinder. Well, the reciprocating saw is going to be a lot better at some things or vice versa. Just depends on what your application is. Problem is, people can't be objective in this world anymore because they relate nearly anything to some political ideology or agenda.
