Dear lyft Los Angeles. You have passed your opportunity to take Los Angeles from uber. When rates were rock bottom all you had to do was raise up driver pay to 1.10 per mile. And the uber platform would of been decimated. How ever now incentives have been introduced and well lyft...your still 88cent a mile. Now nobody has any reason to use you as a rider or driver platform. Please learn from your mistakes and raise up Los Angeles pay to a fair wage. 1.25 per mile will give you plenty of part timers that can't make ubers incentive program. You will have more drivers on the road. Happy drivers giving their best customer service to the passengers. The golden fist pump will be back in action. If you refuse to use common sense your demise will be long and painful. Please grow a sack and don't be scared to stand up to uber. This is a game of chess, use your wits, make the obvious smart moves when they are in front of use, use tactical moves to get advantages. It's not looking good, uber has pretty much taken your queen and bishops. All you got left are some pawns a rouge and a knight. But you can still work with that. Just be smart.

Apart from the fistbump (should be illegal)..and raise the rates to $1.50 and 30 cents a mile...you are spot on.
Plus at $2.25 plus 60 cents a mile

RIP

Lyft isn't willing to lose the customer base with a rate like that. They would lose riders before drivers switched. Drivers go where the money goes. And sadly, Uber pays better and has more demand.

Raising fares when there is this much driver saturation will kill Lyft faster. The problem is that Lyft didn't capitalize when it was gaining traction back a few months ago. But sometimes I think the reason why they gained so much traction was because they were doing that 50% off deal in LA. You know what that means. Unless fares are at $0.50/mi, ridership won't increase.
