I've been out of the rideshare industry for 3 years. Can someone inform me of these regulations?
If Lyft/Uber deactivates your app at 12 hours, can you extend your work day to 14 hours, by taking a break a two hour break in the middle of your shift?
If not, how many hours must pass before Uber/Lyft will let you reset the clock and you can earn again.
Ty for your advice.

Man your question is so naive, no offense really no one here is going to answer you. You might as well be asking how to download the Uber app.

Sorry just giving you heads up.
Understood. Thank you for being honest.
If you do represent the majority of the drivers on this site, then I'm afraid to say it, but,
I have another naive question:
What, exactly, is this forum for?

And just how does one download the Goober app? Or do the lovely csr's send it to you in an email, right after they ascertain your DOB, SS#, your phone number, password and address?

Ever hear of Google? Took me a couple seconds...

Ok it's not called being deactivated.... it is a safety mechanism to ensure you don't drive too many hours. Obviously you think you're some type of superman and should be exempt from this. It's drivers like yourself that these rules are in place for. For Lyft after 14 hours driving you must go off the app for 6 straight hours...

That's Lyft's policy. He's looking for Uber's.

This guy is trolling!!! Common you guys are actually answering questions! What’s next “ how do I pick up a pax” ? “Does Uber mail you a check or you have to go to the Hub and get in line to collect your fares?”

But sir with all the respect if this questions are legitimate. Hit me up for a small fee I will show you all the tricks I’ve learned so far. For your own good, I’m giving you a real piece of advice if you go into this business clueless, you will certainly fail. I guarantee, find someone to hold your hand and remember it takes a special type of individual do to this gig and be profitable. It’s not for everybody.

I think we all know how tempting it is to keep driving more than 12 hours. With our friendly passengers ... And making good money and all.

But Uber and Lyft need us to be at our very best for the sake of our passengers. Remember the passenger should always be priority number one.
