I've posted about this before, but have never found Dayton airport to be a profitable place to wait even though I've done 3 $80+ fares starting from there.
For the most part it is waiting around, when you could be earning elsewhere.
If you are going to wait up there, then at least check the Dayton Airport website to be sure there are incoming planes. More than 2 or 3 that hour you are waiting is necessary unless you are just hoping to get lucky or can do other paid work or study in your car.
There is a place closer to the terminal than the cellphone lot where you can wait without being bothered by the police, but I can't give away all of my secrets and will leave it as an exercise for the true explorers to figure out. My only hint is that it has nothing to do with normal passenger pickup/drop off.
