You do know that's obvious. There's always going to be crimes on this uber platform and by bc too. It's a matter of simple statistics. 1 percent of the population is naturally dangerously criminal. So out of 40000 uber drivers there's potentially hundreds of loonies. Add drunk women with little clothing into the cocktail and you will get many cases.
The solution is obvious. Get rid of the 1 percent through thorough work and school history checks and if you introduce psychological interviews as well you'll be be left with about 3000 drivers.
That's never going to happen because TfL needs drivers for revenue and to justify their existence. The pax want cheapo rides and are not willing to pay for normal human wages. So they get this situation.
