A Dallas police officer was arrested Friday after pointing a gun at the front seat passenger of an Uber ride they were sharing, police said.

Uber will award the driver an additional 50 Uber pro points for his inconvenience.

The officer will have to take a paid safety re-education class provided by Uber before being allowed on the platform again.

The front seat passenger will be credited for the ride, have a $25 credit applied to his account for future rides, and will be charged a cleaning fee of $250 of which the driver will receive $20.
