Firstly bikes are a menace on our roads today. Many bikers drive with a sense of entitlement feeling that they own the road and cars need to give right of way to them always. In this case it looks like the car was in the wrong. You should never hit a person or a bike on purpose. I am hoping that there is a part of the story that we have not been told yet.

I'm with the driver. So tired of self entitled bicyclists thinking that they can do whatever they want without consequence. The biker was looking for trouble, and he got what he was looking for.

So 1000% with this sentiment

Still have to avoid them, bc it could potentially be awful

He was on a bike path! How is any of that the cyclists fault? The driver of the car obviously can’t drive and got offended (somehow) that a cyclist had to move around him while he was completely blocking a bike trail. So he came around and didn’t think to look before driving back onto the bike path.

...I’m trying to see where you’re getting this cyclists ‘sense of entitlement ‘ from. News flash: Cars do not own the road either.

Yes the driver did not see him but I dont think he hit the cyclist on purpose.. and knowing that place its sometimes hard to pass with all those people. Driver did not help situation by driving off..

But the cyclist did get a bit to much angry too. "You going to jail".. relax.. its probably just damage to the bicyles..

Anyways it is the car's fault.

First encounter why didn’t cyclist go around back of car like other cyclist, Then 2nd encounter cyclist sees the same car from afar, he could then slow down as footpath says, or plan to go around back of car, he has plenty of time to react, yet it seems like he wanted to get hit by car, I blame the cyclist, driver didn’t intentionally hit him unless at the first encounter rider flipped him off, we don’t know,

You'd be wrong. The driver did not check when crossing a clearly marked pedestrian/ bike path. The car also clearly fled the scene. It might not have been intentional, but it wouldn't matter since the driver failed to remain. He might face charges...definitely going to have a claim against his insurance by the cyclist.

Watching the video in slow motion, put yourself in drivers seat, the driver did check, your sitting waiting, 2cyclists come from right to left, at the exact moment, a cyclist comes out of no where speedin, cycleway clearly says slow down, blind spot and probably campflauged, driver thought it was clear , so proceeded forward, then bam, clearly cyclists fault,

cyclist can clearly see a car , had plenty of time to slow down, be ready for it, and felt entitled enough to try and cut in front of car, car vs cyclist who's gonna win, not cyclist, why couldn't cyclist slow down, and be prepared, and the aggressiveness of cyclist afterwards proves he wanted something to happen,

If car had stayed, and waited for the police, I bet the cyclist would have been charged, as it was the cyclists fault, clearly, cyclists think they are invincible, and don't abide by most road rules,

Ok the driver was “in the intersection”

However.... the collision was completely avoidable by the cyclist.

If there is a car in the middle of the intersection, no matter who is “right or wrong” why wouldn’t you severely reduce your speed and be cautious.

It’s cyclists like this that are a menace on our roads. For every instance that they may be “technically” right, they endanger their lives by proving that point.

They’re dopes. You can’t win an argument with a car.

The #1 rule of being a (non-derpy) cyclist is: NEVER GO IN FRONT OF A STOPPED VEHICLE WHEN THEY'RE TO YOUR RIGHT OR LEFT. Why is this so hard to understand???? And ofc the driver is a complete dingbat as well and should go to jail for being an idiot.
