Here in KC.... had a passenger leave his driver license ID in side compartment of my car. Why he carried loose and put it there, drunk. Dropped at ball game. He noticed in 10 minutes, no license. Texted UBER. They came back and said they would contact driver, me.

Four days later, another passenger found the license. I texted UBER that I had a guys license. Oh, they never did contacted me first time. They did send a text to passenger, I did not have license. My text went unanswered.
I managed, in a hour, to track down the owner of the dl. By luck. We compared notes, he came over and picked up his license, and foolishly I turned down a reward.

I sent UBER another text, no answer.

FYI

Why in the hell would you turn down a reward...he was rewarding you for your time and hard work coordinating the return..you did Uber's job and his job don't ever turn down a reward or tip from a customer..

I've had a similar experience with the customer service guru's... i had an underage kid try to ride with me back in mid-January. He uses Uber to get to school everyday and is 15. I declined the ride back then and reported it to Uber. Got a reply that Uber has no tolerance for this and it would be investigated.

Fast forward to this past Thursday. Got a ping and as I arrived I recognized the house and the same 15 year-old. When he saw me, he had an "oh $hit" look on his face. I pulled asked him if anyone from Uber ever contacted him and he said no. Claims to have used Uber with other drivers every M-F since I first met him!

So this thread is spot on. I believe the kid. At the end of the day, Uber continues to put us drivers I. The worst positions and they don't seem to care!

I'm thinking a local TV station would jump all over a story like this!
