Customer Complaints

On 6 occasions over the last few days have heard customers complaining that drivers accepting jobs and then phoning up rider to ask where they are going. If ride does not suit the driver they are cancelling and charging the customer a 'no show' fee.

Get a grip guys as this will kill Uber. If you don't want the work drive for someone else!
Too many drivers surviving on cancellation fees alone.

any other major city in the world u see taxis as far out as the city limit only in london are the taxis in zone 1-2 u rarely see a black cab in croydon , ruislip enfield unless they are going home in talking green badge im aware some areas have yellow badge
the system of traditional minicab firms being permitted to take a booking and then passing it onto the driver is a very inefficient system and relies wholly on driver explotation, Uber if anything has liberated these drivers
Though you don't know if they manipulate the app to prioritise jobs to new drivers, to reel them in.

And the issue with the queue at airports.

On the whole, it's a fairer system, which also allows you to work whichever part of London you wish.

And they wonder why they think they're targeted when checks take place in central London, and moan about it on Twitter - where more black taxis are stopped than PH in the city and West end.

I don't know about new drivers but as I mentioned on this forum many months ago that they use algorithms at the airport, which give priority to drivers who have actually dropped off there, which is a good thing as it makes sure that they get a job back, otherwise an airport on its own is not really worth it, but they should inform all their drivers of this arrangement, and while we are on the subject, I also suspect that the same algorithms also looks after those drivers with a better job acceptance rate on the day by giving them juicier jobs, but it's just a theory and i can't prove it

cap on 10k drivers plus 1.75£ mile. No surge.
That sound fair.
Better than 1.25.
